Evaluation of Documentary

For my evaluation i will evaluate the whole documentary project. i will evaluating the phases of producing the Documentary, i will look at group work, production of the Documentary and other information about the Evaluation.

the phases of producing the documentary was that me and my group partner (muddassir) would complete all the post production stages. Which were completing the Blogger work which was writing up all the key stages that we were doing, For example we had produced a scheduled timetable to show the timeline on how much we had to produce, edit and finish the Documentary.

Generally the group that we had assigned our selves to were quite successful because we had worked well together, we had been successful at producing, editing and finishing the Documentary on schedule because of our good group work together. In our group we had no particular issues and group project came out successful and well achieved in producing it.

In our post production we had to write blogs about everything that we had done in our lessons. Our group had occurred a few issues because our first initial idea was going to be review kind of show, so that initial idea had been conflicted with the idea of being an actual review rather than a Documentary that was our class project. We had to come up with a whole new Documentary and re blog all the changes that were made. In the post production we had to make questionnaires  about the Documentary so that we can get a whole opinion on the issue of our documentary. We had done this by making a survey on Survey Monkey online. We had also used our questionnaires to question the interviewee on the issue.

Our group had also looked at different Documentaries online to add up what we were going to do for our initial idea for the Documentary. This was useful research that we needed to create our project. In our Documentary we had used several good camera angles so that it would be interesting, we had used a different camera angle that the interviewee would look at the interviewer not the camera. The song that were used in the documentary were

Intro - Bag Raiders, Fun Punch

Question time - Super Mario theme song

Ending song - She be Working - JON MCXRO

In the actual video we had inserted a title intro that would show what the Documentary would consist of, we had done this so that the audience would not be confused on what is going on in the Documentary.
here is the finished documentary video that we have produced for our media documentary project.

media homework

For my homework i will be producing a media textbok chapter of issues that producers face when programming their production.

Accuracy - Accuracy is based on the facts of the data that is produced to the issue. The data is determined if it is right or not. If data that is not accuratly correct this will have a huge impact negativly on the production programe.

Balance - Balance is based on how unbiased a production can be. For example the BBC is a unbiased Broadcasting station because it is public channel so the programs would have a two sided answer to any particular issue, unlike other Broadcasting channels like Channel 4 and ITV, they would mainly be very biased because they would want a particular answer without looking at the other sides view on the issue. So balance is a very important key iu production.

Impartiality - Impartiality, again like balance it determines it self by the weight of how unbiased the views are from both side of the issue.

Objectivity - Objectivity is to generally reduce as much as possible the amount of biases, prejudices or subjective evaluation. Like balance it is determined by the amount of biased views that are answered on the particular issue.

Subjectivity - Subjectivity is based on the judgement of the individual impressions and feelings and opinions rather than external facts like prejudism.

Bias - Bias is determined through the way the programe is produced, for example a documentary can be on a particular issue but intstead of looking at both sides of issue the programe only looks at one side merely because of personal or politcal reasons.

Representation - representaion is how someone or something is shown to stand for someone or sonmething inparticular.

Access - A means of approaching, entering, exiting or communicating.

Privacy - The state or condition of being free from being observed ,disturbed and free from public attention.

Mentoring Year 8 english class

In our groups we had mentored several groups in a year 8 class, they needed to learn about what consists in a documentary. Me and my partner had taught them what is needed to make a good documentary. We had told them a documentary has to be organised and well prepared.

we had finished our task that was to accompany and assist the year 8 english class in making their documentary about the london riots, what we had learnt from this is that we had advanced in working and teaching in a short period of time.

lesson objective

In todays lesson we will be editing all of our videos that we have recorded in our previous lessons. Me and my partner muddassir will be also adding some extra features ( not currently going to show but will be revealed in actual video). I will be also adding extra footage of our project. Also in our lesson we are aiming to finish most of our editing in our three lessons of media.

we are editing the video footage of the interview we did on the students, teachers and other experts that we had interviewed.
